The Benmore Estate lies in the heart of the Isle of Mull and is situated amongst some of the most spectacular Highland scenery. The Estate offers an ideal location for either a family holiday, special celebration or corporate get together.

The Estate extends to about 17,000 acres and stretches from the southern shoreline of Loch Na Keal over the summit of Benmore (3,169ft) to Glen More, about 6 miles distant.

The principal house on the estate, Knock House is a very comfortable family home beautifully situated at the head of Loch na Keal. Recently refurbished to a very high standard the house consists of 12 guest bedrooms and 8 guest bath/shower rooms and will sleep up to 22 guests extremely comfortably with additional accommodation for a cook/nanny if required.

Knock and the surrounding lands were in control of the Macleans of Duart until the 17th Century when Hector Maclean granted a bond in favour of his kinsman, the Marquess of Arygll.

John, Marquess of Lorne and 9th Duke of Argyll, married Princess Louise, the fourth daughter of Queen Victoria and the Victorian portion of the house is thought to have been built by John for his bride.
